FAQ's
1) What IS a USPTA Recreational Coach?
A person, like the above, who wants to become trained to
create a positive, meaningful learning experience for new-comers
to promote their continuing interest in tennis. Applicants complete
a Recreational Coaches Workshop and then may join the USPTA as Developmental Coaches.
2) What is a Recreational Coaches Workshop? The USTA began RCWs six years ago in an effort to provide a
practical on-court workshop for people teaching entry-level
players. In 2005 this workshop was approved by the USPTA
as the requirement for the Developmental Coach membership level.
The workshops are six hours long and provide outstanding,
proven methods for introducing tennis.
3) How do I get RCW information?
